Allison Cancer Center had a Cancer Awareness Walk last month.
Brian & I wanted to participate in this walk in honor of our friend, Jessie Flores, who is fighting his own battle with cancer.
Several members of Jessie's family joined us on this walk. Here are some pictures from that day.
Jason, Jessie's son, was always a great athlete in high school. Him and Javier, Jessie's brother, showed all of us up. I am pretty sure Jason finished the 5K waaay ahead of the rest of us. Javier was the only one who ran the 10K (that is OVER 6 miles!).
Jessie's nurse from Allison Cancer Center also did the 5K (with a toddler and a 2-month old)!
