Halloween, Friends, & Football

I am going to try to catch up on the last couple of months here. First, we had Halloween. Brylon wasn't real sure what it was all about at first, but she quickly figured it out. She had alot of fun making a jack-o-lantern with her daddy.

Scooping out the insides of the pumpkin.
So much more fun with your hands.

Brian & Brylon's Masterpiece

Trick-or-Treating at Kyle's

By the time we got to Nenny & Vicki's, she figured out this
Trick-or-Treat stuff was pretty cool.

At GCHS taking pictures before the carnival.

Look out Bearkats. Here I come!

Met up with Trey at the carnival.
No! Hillary & I did not plan this. Great minds just think alike!

We made a trip to Carlsbad, NM to visit our friends the first part of November. The guys went hunting all day, so Tanya & I took Brylon to the park by the river to take some pictures & let Brylon play.
Feeding the ducks.

Hanging out on the railway bridge.

Our little model.

Really hope we don't see anymore of this in her future.

Are you ready for some BEARKAT FOOTBALL?

Hanging out with Mimi after the semifinal game.

I guess it wasn't cold enough outside in the Texas panhandle for her.

Our Hero & STATE CHAMPION! Marcus!
(I'll post pics from our state championship game later. WooHoo!)

SNOW DAY!
The first week of December, we got to hang out with our friends Tex, Hillary, & Trey in Fredericksburg for the opening of the George Bush, Sr. addition to the Nimitz Museum. Tex flies a TBM, which is what Pres. Bush flew in the war. The plans were for Tex to fly with Pres. Bush in the TBM over the museum, but weather did not allow that to happen. Tex still got to meet Pres. Bush & we got to sit back & witness. It was pretty cool & much more emotional that I ever anticipated.

Brylon & her model pose under a P-40 Tiger.

Loved this picture.

Brylon had to make a bed for her horse to lay down & watch TV with her.

Brylon Songs

Brylon loves to sing songs. She will turn any sentence or phrase into a song. Even her name - she tells me Oma taught her that song. Anyway, I was able to take some pictures of her one evening while she was singing to me outside. I will try to add the words at the appropriate times, but I could never reciprocate the animation that comes with the "live" show.

Pharaoh, Pharaoh
WHOA!WHOA!

Let my people go.
UHHH

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.
Now she is setting on the floor while I am cooking supper singing "Jesus Loves Me."
This was one of the first songs she learned.

This is one of my favorite songs she learned at school.
You have to say it with an Italian gangster accent.
(God-a made-a)
GOD MADE THE MOUNTAINS

GOD MADE THE ANIMALS
GOD MADE THE SEA
GOD MADE ME!
Then she cheers & claps for herself & says
"Good Job Brylon"

Homecoming 2009

I asked Brylon what kind of cheerleading outfit she wanted this year & she told me "one like Mimi's!" Really??? Why did I even ask?

Well, Britni sent me a picture of her favorite uniform and ....

...Brylon looks just like Mimi.
She loves her uniform & the cheerleaders thought it was pretty cool too.
Here are a few pictures from our Homecoming game.

Just like her Mimi.

Abilene Zoo

Brian's cousin & his wife, Kenny(Brylon calls him Nenny) & Vicki Batla, asked if they could take Brylon to the zoo on one of Kenny's days off. Are you kidding me? YOU are asking IF you can take her for a fun day at the zoo? OMG! She would love that. OF COURSE you can take her.

Well, they did - and she had a blast. She came home talking about monkeys & tigers & giraffes. They even bought her a stuffed giraffe that her & Nenny named Gladys. She had to take Gladys to school & tell all her friends about the animals at the zoo. She is still tugging Gladys around.

Brylon & Nenny feeding the giraffes.
The Abilene zoo has this really cool cross walk over the giraffe's home where you can feed them. They come right up to it & stick out their tongue - which almost reaches all the way across the cross walk (OK I'm exaggerating, but not by much) - just waiting for you to put a cracker down for them to get.
Brylon thought this was pretty cool.

Brylon & Vicki with the buffaloes.

Brylon was mesmerized by the monkeys.

Labor Day weekend, I decided I did not want to go Dove hunting & I didn't want to sit at home while Brian went hunting. So, two of my friends & I decided to have a girls weekend and go back to the zoo. Jaime has a daughter, Hannah, who is 5 months younger than Brylon. I have posted Hannah & Brylon on previous posts. Brandy, who is my right arm at work - I couldn't do my job without her, has a daughter, Macee, who is 7. We had a great time & the girls wore themselves (& us) out. Between the zoo, swimming at the hotel, & staying up waay too late - we all needed our extra day off to recuperate.

The girls anxiously awaiting to share their crackers with the animals.

Hanging out with the zebras...
...and the giraffes.

The girls had a blast!

OshKosh

We had the privilege of traveling to Oshkosh, Wisconsin to the annual AirVenture with some great friends this year. We flew in an Albatross airplane, which is a Coast Guard search & recovery sea plane. We had 7 adults and 2 children with us, plus all our luggage and necessities of a week's stay. Even with all that stuff, we had tons of room to get up and move around in the plane and the kids could run around & even put their mats down when it was time for their naps. We had a great time!
This post is a little long because it was hard for me to narrow down which pictures to put on here. Every picture reminded me of a great memory.

In the plane, waiting for takeoff.
All strapped in. Ready to go.

So Sweet!

Playing with her puzzles.
She loves her puzzles. She could do this for hours.
Looking out the window with Daddy & Trey

Landing in Dubuque, Iowa.
It was gorgeous here. Lots of rolling GREEN hills.
Beautiful.

Arriving at Oshkosh.
It was a little cool outside, so Trey, being such a little gentleman, let Brylon
wear his flight jacket.
Our two Aviators!
Patiently waiting to go outside.

Riding in a racecar at one of the exhibit halls.
She'll tell you "I have a need for speed!"
We are in soooo much trouble.

This picture does not do this monster justice.
Can't believe that much metal can fly in the air.
Amazing!

Sitting in front of the flowers at the hotel.
My favorite picture.

Riding the 4-wheeler at the exibits.

Time for a nap.
Not sure what we are going to do when she outgrows this stroller.

Trey & Brylon
This must be "the life".

This is an airplane they raffled off to benefit a pilot who became a quadrapalegic after he had an accident playing on a playground with his children.
It was the cutest thing. Brylon loved it.
Maybe her daddy can make her one.

Brylon riding in another little airplane.
Momma's airplane is behind her!!!
Okay, I need to wake up now. HaHa

On the way home.
Puzzles agian.
Aviation bear is ready for takeoff.
