Jessie's Walk

Allison Cancer Center had a Cancer Awareness Walk last month.

Brian & I wanted to participate in this walk in honor of our friend, Jessie Flores, who is fighting his own battle with cancer.

Several members of Jessie's family joined us on this walk. Here are some pictures from that day.

Jason, Jessie's son, was always a great athlete in high school. Him and Javier, Jessie's brother, showed all of us up. I am pretty sure Jason finished the 5K waaay ahead of the rest of us. Javier was the only one who ran the 10K (that is OVER 6 miles!).

Jessie's nurse from Allison Cancer Center also did the 5K (with a toddler and a 2-month old)!

Carol & Brooklyn took Brylon on the walk with them in her stroller. Thanks Carol & Brooky!

Brylon enjoying an orange with Brooklyn. She worked so hard in that stroller you know!

We made it and still have a smile on our faces!

The Rockhounds media interviewed Jessie after the race.

Then Jessie gave them my name. Thanks Jessie. Just remember what paybacks are!

Keep Fighting Jessie!

We love you and pray daily for God's presence to give you strength and complete healing.

Rodeo Time

The Big Spring Rodeo was this past weekend, so we took Brylon with us to the rodeo. I couldn't tell you if she liked it or not. We didn't really get to see much of the rodeo. Her Daddy was too busy socializing!!! Brylon didn't seem to mind - I think she is going to take after her daddy in that department. It may take her a minute or two before she warms up to new people, but once she does, you better watch out. She will be the center of attention -- she makes sure of that! She is such a Ham and is learning how to use that smile and her blue eyes.

We are in TROUBLE!

Our friends, Jake & Kassie, have a daughter, Jolie, who is 1 month older than Brylon. Jake manages the Edward's Ranch which pretty much surrounds our place, so Brylon & Jolie will no doubt grow up together. The girls have so much fun together and are amazing to watch. I don't know how they do it, but they seem to communicate so well with each other without saying one word, or at least a word an adult can recognize, to each other. I am afraid we are in trouble because when one girl is unsure about doing something, the other doesn't seem to have a problem with it. Therefore, the other girl will just fall in right behind the leader!!

I made matching visors for the girls. This is the only time we could get them to sit down for a few seconds to take a picture.
Jolie "The Rapper"

"Hey Brylon! Let's see if we can climb over this fence."
"It is much easier just to go through the fence."
"This looks like a great swimming hole."
Discussing future plans to torture Mom & Dad
Here she goes kissing the animals again!
We have to watch her closely when we are outside. Before you know it, she is through that fence trying to give the horses kisses while they are eating.
Playing in the water at Jake's birthday.
Just a preview of a future conversation.
"Hey DAD! Can Jolie & I take the car to town?""PLEEEASE?"

Trust me , she already knows who to go to when she wants something!

Brylon with her cousins!

Brylon never minds when we get a babysitter for the evening. She loves Britni, and the best part is she usually stays at Britni's house with a housefull of cousins, not to mention an Aunt and Uncle, who love to spoil her rotten.

We had a birthday party to go to a couple of weeks ago, so Brylon got to stay with Britni. Our nephew & his wife were also down for the weekend, so Brylon got even more attention. Kristen took these pictures and sent them to me, so I thought I would share them.

O.K. Andrea! I know you did not let your boys play baseball in the house!

I am not sure what she is doing to poor Darren,

but she obviously thinks it is pretty funny!

Hey!! You have one of these fun things too.

Let me show you how it works. I play with my Mom & Dad's all the time.

My cousin, Darren, is the coolest!

A Quick Update

Brylon & her Daddy.
We went to the lake a couple of weekends ago. We were docked and waiting, so
I decided to let Brylon put her feet in the (very cold) water. She wasn't
happy with just her feet in the water, so I placed her on the steps of the ladder
to the boat. Still wanted more. Did I say the water was COLD? Mommy was NOT quite as anxious as Brylon was to get in the water.

My friend Christy, put her on the end of her Jetski and she thought that was pretty cool!

Brylon and her Aunt Andrea throwing rocks in the water for our friends dog, Lacey, to go get.
Guess that was pretty funny!

Our friend's grandson brought this 4-wheeler to the lake .

I think Brylon had just as much fun as he did!

Brylon and my Aunt Carolyn. Yes, this is who I am named after. Dad just says she spells her name the wrong way.

Brylon's Aunt Debbie and Uncle Greg gave her this pool.

She loves the water.

"THANKS Aunt Debbie and Uncle Greg!!!!"

Think this girl is kin to her daddy and Uncle David?
