I can't believe our baby is getting so big and becoming so independent. It is so much fun to sit back and watch her learn so much so fast. However, it is also a huge awakening to realize that time is so precious and it just seems to be flying by entirely too fast.

These pictures are from a dirt bike race that Brylon's cousin, Ben, and Uncle David rode. It took place in the bottom of a sand pit just outside of Big Spring. We went the night before the race and hung out with them. The next day the wind -and sand- blew like crazy. We still had a great time. I am amazed at how well Ben handles that bike. It is bigger than he is!

My awesome cousin, Ben.
The next week I stayed home with Brylon and worked on going to the potty. The first day wore me out, but she did great the second day and has done amazingly well since. We had a great time with the "no more diapers" ceremony. I made her physically throw her diapers in the trash the first morning. She was very dramatic throwing each individual diaper away saying "no more diaper-peepee potty" even though she had no idea what she was about to encounter.
Peek-a-Boo
Now, our hardest challenge is getting her to tell us she has to go potty when she is outside. I am not sure who taught her this trick-certainly wasn't me- but she will do her thing then come tell us "I tee-tee on grass". I thought that was only supposed to be an issue with little boys!
Little Miss Priss herself
We finally had a chance to plant our Christmas tree. Brylon thought this was pretty cool. Anytime she can play in the water, she is happy. Throw in a little mud and she is in hog heaven!

Now if we can just keep the deer and livestock from killing this one, maybe we will have a big tree to for her to play under in a few years.

My friend, Jaime, has a daughter who is 5 months younger than Brylon. Jaime & I started going to the YMCA everyday after work and the girls always have a blast together. I have taken Brylon swimming with me after I finish my laps in the pool. She gets so excited when she gets to put on her swimsuit. After about 10 minutes, her little lips just quiver and turn blue, but she refuses to get out of the pool. She tells me all the way out "not cold Momma, not cold".
Hannah & Jaime went with us in the airplane one day and both Brylon & Hannah thought that was just the neatest thing.
Brian wasn't getting the airplane out of the hangar
fast enough for Hannah & Brylon.
Our nephew, Cade, had a class project that he shared with Brian, Brylon & I. His class read a book about Flat Stanley, so he sent "Flat Stanley" to us so we could share our experiences with him. I think Brian had more fun with this project than Cade did. He took Flat Stanley to the Edwards hangar where Connie & Tex have several commemorative aircraft stored. Flat Stanley got a first hand look and some really cool WWII memorabilia.

This is the same type of aircraft that George Bush, Sr. flew.

Flat Stanley getting a pretty wild ride.

Playing in the water even though the outside temp.
was only mid-60's. That water was freezing!

Didn't seem to bother her.
