Where has time gone?

WOW! I can't believe it has been so long since I have updated this website. So much has happened this summer, it is hard to believe that the summer is over.

Let's see, where do I start? Brylon had some pretty big milestones this summer. When she turned 18 months, she went from her crib to her toddler bed. I explained that girls who sleep in toddler beds shouldn't be sleeping with a pacifier. OK. No big deal. She never missed a beat and never asked for one again. Wow, can potty training be this easy?

She still sleeps with her blanket and now her baby must go "night-night" when Brylon goes "night-night".

We had a great time this summer with our new-used boat and riding horses. Brylon loves the water and has absolutely no fear. The first time I tried to pull her out of the water, she wiggled right out of my hands yelling BATH. Anyway, she came up laughing and never slowed down. She did not much like the rocking motion of the boat at first, but nothing seems to bother her now. She did get to ride on the tube with Mommy at Lake Brownwood-of course we did not have the camera on the boat with us-but she had a blast. She waved and yelled Hi at all the other boats.

A friend of ours had a pool party, but it rained that afternoon and it was too cold to get in the water. So, Brylon and the other kids played in the hot tub. The hot tub had a small water spout you could turn on/off that Brylon loved to play in.

Here it comes!

Aftermath!
We had a few opportunities this summer to utilize our arena Brian worked so hard to build. Brylon loves the horses and has a blast anytime we get to rope. First, she plays in the dirt and the water (that means mudd), then there is time to ride-by herself, doesn't want anyone else crowding her in that saddle-when Daddy is resting. Of course the fight is on when it is time for Daddy to rope again. She usually gets to ride back to the barn after the roping is complete.
Kissing the animals again!
She still thinks her Daddy hung the moon!
Another part of the roping session she enjoys is our neighbor, Kadden, comes over and spoils her rotten. (along with his Mom & Dad).

She is still a "girly-girl". Britni makes sure her toes get painted and she has plenty of beads to wear. Vicki made her a special cheerleading dress to wear to the games this fall, so she could be like "mimi" (that's Brylon for Britni).

Daddy says I can never go to New Orleans.

Not sure what he is talking about.

I finished my first triathlon this weekend. Didn't say it was pretty, but I did finish! Brian & Brylon, and our friends, Gary & Christy were there to cheer me through the finish line.

AHH! Need some hydration after all that work!
